Testimonials:
My therapy journey with Elena was transformative and enlightening.
I embarked on this journey grappling with intimacy issues that had deterred me from pursuing relationships. Elena’s approach allowed me to open up about experiences from my past that I hadn’t fully processed before. Elena’s non-judgmental approach was instrumental in this process. I was able to voice my deepest shames and, in the process, often realized they were not as severe as I had initially believed. Even when Elena challenged some of my views, it was done with care and left room for healthy discussion. This helped me gain new perspectives, even on issues where I held strong opinions.
One of the major breakthroughs from my time in therapy was greatly reducing my recreational drug use. I credit this change to the respect I developed for Elena’s viewpoint, encouraging me to give serious thought to perspectives differing from mine. I entered therapy thinking I would benefit more from a structured, scientific approach, but my experience with Elena proved otherwise. Her method was exactly what I needed. It led to a myriad of positive changes – improved relationships, greater self-confidence, and enhanced coping mechanisms. Most importantly, I am now in a healthy, loving romantic relationship that has been going strong for nine months. I wholeheartedly endorse Elena’s service.
I can’t think of any improvements to suggest because the service I received far exceeded my expectations. Elena’s approach has had a profoundly positive impact on my life, and I am immensely grateful. – Joe
I was lucky enough to choose Red Oak Practice as my first experience of therapy, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision.
I felt safe, well-supported and engaged during each session. The therapy felt very tailored towards me as a person, which I really appreciated as it showed Elena’s understanding of me and her skill as a psychotherapist.
Going through this process has left me happier and more satisfied in my life, and I would thoroughly recommend Red Oak Practice to help you on your journey too. – Rajan
I am so grateful to have had Elena’s support and guidance at a particularly vulnerable time in my life. In Elena’s session, you have the space to share any and all thoughts, feelings and anxieties. There is no pressure from Elena, you are free to decide the direction of the session, and Elena knows when it’s helpful to gently prompt or perhaps challenge you to explore your perspectives.
Crucially, Elena is there with you as you sit in the resonance of all that you share and express, creating a genuine sense that you have been heard – not just by Elena, but sometimes for the first time, consciously, by yourself. I went through some big changes during the (almost) year that I was seeing Elena.
In the beginning, I had a tight grasp on certain people/things/areas of my life that I thought offered security, but now realise were often sources of instability for me. Since working with Elena, I have become more open to uncertainty, viewing it more readily as opportunity. When I started therapy with Elena, though feeling fragile, I deep down knew that I am resilient and have strong empathy and compassion towards others. Working with Elena, I simultaneously had this reiterated, while Elena also taught me not to feel defined by these labels – it’s ok not to always feel resilient or empathetic! This helped me to start being able to accept help more easily when it was offered and I needed it, and to actually process negative feelings like anger and hurt caused by others, instead of pushing them down.
I now understand that my own feelings and experiences are just as important as the people around me. I am more willing to be vulnerable and this has improved my friendships and relationships. My self-esteem has been an area of vast improvement, as I feel like I live more authentically to myself, am less willing to compromise myself, feel more grounded in my own opinion of myself and can be less shaken by the opinions of others. I feel more care-free. I know life still has its challenges, but I feel the extremes of these less.
Overall, my positive progress over the last year is now really plain to see, not only to myself but to others. I would highly recommend Elena if you are looking to start or continue your own therapeutic journey. – Judy
